Ess Summer Camp Scholarship Program

We are excited to share our summer camp scholarship program, specifically designed to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) youth ages 13 to 17, will be extended into 2024! We believe that all youth should have the opportunity to explore and develop their individual potential, regardless of their background. We are excited to present this opportunity and look forward to providing scholarships to 10 individuals for $1,000.00 apiece. Our hope is that these scholarships will provide a path for underprivileged youth to access educational and recreational opportunities. We believe that by investing in BIPOC youth, we are investing in the future of our society. We are proud to offer this program and hope that it will inspire other organizations to follow suit in their efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

I'm writing this to thank you so much for the gift, as I am so glad I was able to go to camp this year. I'll be honest, before coming this year, I didn't really ever want to become a counselor at camp, but now, after this year, I really want to get back and be on staff. This year was very fun for me! I talked to the staff more and made more friends this year. Thank you again for letting me go to camp this summer.

Camp Onas really got me outside of my comfort zone. Camp taught me to just try to be myself and how no one really cares how if you act silly or how you look. They also taught me that you should put others in front of you and how making a new friend can be a great thing. Thank you so much for helping my brother and I get to camp this summer.

Total scholarship may not cover 100% of all cost(s) associated with the camp chosen.
Money will be paid directly to the summer camp.
Transportation costs not covered.
If camp costs less than $1,000.00 there will be no additional money provided to the awardee.
